San Antonio, TX. When the ABA Texas Fuel take the floor early next month in their opening game of the season, the players will be dressed in exciting new lime green uniforms as a reminder of the team's commitment to the environment. According to Rebecca Garza, co-owner of the team, "The Fuel is America's First Green Team," and we have adopted the mission of educating and promoting the message of Going Green to our youth. The team believes that through their image and platform, they have the ability and desire to encourage children to think and develop the next generation of solutions to the energy and environmental problems facing the globe. In addition to our alternative energy stance, we also believe in treating the planet with respect, conservation, recycling, eco-friendliness and everything green in nature."
"Our team is no longer sitting on the sidelines," added co-owner Marlon Minifee, "we are taking a pro-active role in affecting change with the next generation.
