Just read your post while video surfing. Basically, Dick Clark is a money-grubbing asshole, that's why. His stuff would be fun to watch but Dick is just that, a Dick. Keep going through Youtube. There's lots better stuff, stuff that's live, than his shows that almost always were lip-sy...
