Please see my 9 Favorites for some idea. I have a wide ranging taste in music. I am always listening to music. I grew up on Elvis, but I listen to rap, and have seen some up-close performances. I enjoy all kinds of music from every where in the world, and historical music, too, especially Mozart, but my taste are wide there. I remember a concert featuring Brahams Symphony No. 1 that has forever altered my life, an event under the band shell at Tanglewood, MA.
Books:
Boswell's Life of Sam Johnson is the first book which comes to mind. I recently read Isabel Allende's Ines of My Soul and enjoyed it immensely. I am now reading Marquez's Love in the Time of Cholera. Honestly, this book alone in my opinion proves his meriting the Noble Prize. And the poetry that I have read, I am afraid that readers will notice the influences the moment they hear and see my first verses.
