Standin' to my Daddy's knee,
My poppa said, ";Son, don't let the man get you
Do what he done to me.";

@fingerp5 If that doesn't make sense to you, then let me elaborate. Almost all hippies and everyone else their age came from conservative backgrounds, but they wanted to change a few fundemental values of 50s america, feeling that it was to suffocating and oppressive. Yet, they also understood th...

Hippies of the 60s were much more mild in terms of wierdness then many other current liberal sub-cultures. They were also generally less liberal then most liberals of today and were almost conservative and liberal simutaneously, as was the whole Baby Boomer generation.

@tlesiak91 Hippies of the 60s weren't as ridiculous as a lot of people stereotype them to be... Some had long hair, some medium length hair, some even short hair, some dressed in bright colors, some dressed dirty and messy, some dressed classy, polos, v necks, bellbottoms, straight kahkis, some w...

@Japanfeedo Theres also different ways to consume marijuana, you can use vaporizors and the damage that smoke does on your lungs becomes void. Or you can simply eat the plant. I never said to ignore what potentially might be there, but do you believe its a matter to stress over?

@Japanfeedo Its more natural, does natural equate to better? Your not seeing that potential in this regard means holding on to a belief of something with nothing to show for it. Its more logical to say what has already been proven and by saying that 'potential' is basically the difference of wha...

@Japanfeedo Also, anything in this world that is enjoyed can be mentally or 'emotionally' addicting. As I said playing sports, or video games can be addicting. It might be unfair to say, but to disregard evidence that is already in existence just nullifies any proven evidence or even all human ...

@LedWilde Hip-hip wasn't coined until 1979 I think, so really she is one of the first rap artists to exist. She also helped rap and hip hop to become popular along with Grand Master Flash and Afrika Bambaataa in the early 80s.

@af1iRockNIKES I think hes overexaggerating his point somewhat, but it should have been clear that he believes that comparable to other genres of music, rap/hip-hop requires a considerable less talent.
