About Skate Australia - A Longboarding Documentary
We started with the simple idea of traveling the country with our longboards, and within weeks we were rolling with extreme downhill skaters from all over the world.
Skate Australia documents our road-trip of discovery into the rapidly emerging and varying sport of longboard skating.
Crammed into the van soaking up the sunshine, we're all about beers, bands, babes, beaches and board-riding lifestyle.
t was a summer we'll never forget on the East coast of Australia. We had eight grand worth of our camera equipment and tapes stolen then miraculously recovered from a drug den. We met guys who were pushing 90km\h speeds on skateboards. We even skated down parliament house with six cops watching us, but technically it wasn't illegal. After all this and more, our hard-partying holiday came to a climax in Townsville. It was the biggest gravity sports event in Australian history, the 'Beat the Bastard' freeride.
