To my friend Don Helms. His steel sang Im So Lonesome I Could Cry, Youre Cheatin' Heart...I am so proud to have known you. You were so admired by all of us...
Welcome to my channel for steel and guitar here on YouTube. My name is Mickey Adams and I currently reside in Dallas Texas where I work as a corporate pilot. Ive spent numerous years playing the club and international tour circuits as a guitarist, but currently I am concentrating on teaching Pedal Steel Guitar.
I am proud to be affiliated with Mullen Steel Guitars as an endorsee, and as a distributor here in Texas. I am currently playing the new Mullen G2 Pedal Steel. In my opinion this is the best steel guitar money can buy. You will find a link to Mullen Guitars at the bottom of this page.
Please dont hesitate to rate my videos, and send requests to my personal inbox. I try to respond to each and every email as my flight schedule permits. thanks for tuning in, and we'll see you, back at the steel....Mickey

Hey mickey, I tried to get through on your e-mail but it came back "undeliverable"? I wanted info. on your book. It is such a pleasure seeing your confidence on such an intimidating instrument. I bought a sidekick (M.S.A.) in the 70's, coz I love steel, and recently upgraded to a steel with 4 knee levers .I've learned more in a couple months watching your vids. than anywhere else, in years. Finding someone to teach steel, can be difficult on the east end of Long Island. You inspire me to want to get much more accomplished on the insrument. Being self taught, you need someone to show you what is possible on the steel, and you do that in clear concise manner. Thankyou so much. Does sneaky Pete use a phaser on his solo on" Take it Easy"? ( Jackson Browne ) " For Everyman " album. Always loved that solo and his sweet playing on "Lady of the well" Do you have a vid. that goes into tuning the pedals and levers? Brian

Man, I don't even own a pedal steel, but I've been watching your videos for about a year now. I just moved to a new city and my next door neighbor just happens to have a pedal steel! I can honestly say just watching your videos for as long as I have has really given me an understanding that I wouldn't have had otherwise. I by no means really know what I'm doing when I get sit down with it, but with practice, I could definitely figure out the pieces to the puzzle. Time to sell one of my old guitars give it a shot! Thanks for your videos and wonderful playing!
