Each week, gay comedian, actor and old movie lover STEVE HAYES comments on and dishes the classic movies he loves. From Film Noir to Screw Ball Comedies, Social Dramas to Camp Classics, nothing escapes his scrutiny. Using his vast knowledge of film and Hollywood history, he not only describes the various films, but provides the inside scoops on who got who to do what to whom in order to get what was made, made. With a new segment every week, each two to four minute segment is shot on location in Thornfield Manor, Steve's overly-opulent , nostalgia filled, sumptuously cluttered, Studio apartment and hosted by fellow actor John Bixler, Steve recommends what classics to see, what to avoid, what to take seriously, what not to and what to run out and rent as soon as the show is over.

Just subscribed- I love your reviews and synopses!! I remember watching most of these films, as a young girl, on TV in the early 70's, (before cable appropriated classic films) and getting that book, "The Films of Jean Harlow", for my B'day from my mom. She made me a replica of one of Jean's gowns for my prom (pg 24, bottom right.)
Thank you for the memories!

Happy New Year Steve and thank you for introducing me to so many wonderful films.

Lion in Winter, a sublime movie. O'Toole just about holds his own against the 'force of life' that is Hepburn - in fact he had to talk Hepburn into doing the movie at all. There's a current London West End stage version starring Joanne Lumley (Ab Fab). The play/movie is wonderful because it is heavy period drama and comedy combined, and it isn't about any real historic events - so nothing historical is changed by the final curtain).

Steve, please review more Deborah Kerr films. She's my absolute fave. Also, one day you and Johnny should give us a tour of your apartment so that we can see all of your breathtaking movie memorabilia. I palpitate every time I watch one of your reviews because I'm checking out all of the fantastic stuff you have going on in the background. The dolls, books and photos are absolutely mesmerizing.

Steve, you are fantastic! You deserve your own show. You would knock any film critic right off the air. I am a huge fan of Beyond the Forest. I'm crushed that (so I've heard) the copyright is tied up by the family of Stewart Engstrand, the author of the pot boiler novel. I'm sure you are familiar with the editing, the dialog and over the top performance of Bette, the mis-casting and overblown music score that all comes together to make a TOTAL CAMP Classic. I'm hoping the Criterion Collection will blow everyone out of the water with a wild edition. Keep these wonderful reviews coming. I tell EVERYONE about you.
