Planning is in process for The Edge, the State Government's next development at the Cultural Centre. The Queensland Government is investing $7.9 million to develop The Edge.
The Edge, due to open in 2009 as part of the State Library of Queensland, will be a creative place especially for young people
The Edge will deliver exciting programs and creative opportunities for young people. Programming activities within The Edge will adopt young people-centred philosophies and practices.

Ideas from you, your friends and others are being gathered to help inform the architects about the kinds of spaces and things that need to be included in the physical design of The Edge.

The designs and plans for The Edge will be developed in early 2008. The Edge redevelopment is expected to be completed and ready for you to create, produce and enjoy by the end of 2009.

Programs and facilities will provide opportunities for young people to learn about and engage in new media, creative industries production, exhibition and presentation.
There will be facilities to support young people's creation of art, film, photography, music production and recording, gaming and design, community based publishing and digital storytelling. There will also be exhibition, presentation and outdoor spaces for chilling out and activating.

We want to hear what you want to see in The Edge; what you'd like to be able to do, what it should look like, and what you want from it.

This youtube page has been created to collect your ideas in video form. If you make a video, whether it be a videoblog of you talking about your ideas, an interview with a friend, an artistic interpretation of your ideal creative space, or just some cool videos that inspire you or show awesome spaces, WE WANT TO SEE IT! All you have to do is comment us on this page with a link to the video. We will then favourite it and put it on our page.

Please help us out by submitting or finding videos. The Edge is a creative space for YOU. You are the ones who influence the design. So get thinking!
