Dream Job: photographer or film critic.

What I'm working on now: OKAY, now that my Ingrid Bergman tribute is done, I've got a lot of ideas in my head: a tribute to film noir, screwball comedy, a Marlon Brando or a Last Tango tribute, an Atonement video, and an epic tribute to romance at the movies. One thing at a time.

For the record, I do NOT upload whole movies onto YouTube, so please don't send requests. There are, however, countless people I subscribe to who do. Check them out.

Lovely channel :)

A connoisseur of the true classics I see, very good, very good indeed :) don't really know what you're into at the moment, but I recently got hooked on the better Chinese drama. Yi ge dou bu neng shao (Not One Less) is a fantastic movie that I can recommend to anyone without hesitation. Ba wang bie ji (Farewell, My Concubine) is great as well, and then of course there's Hong gaoliang (The Red Sorghum) and Da hong denglong gaogao gua (Raise the Red Lantern).

Grbavica (Sarajevo, Mon Amour) is great as well, it's about the Bosnia-Servia conflict.

Anywho, keep watching those movies :)
Cheers!

I know I probably shouldn't quote you here, but your 'comment' to me shows fine sensibilities and good writing which should serve you well down the road in pursuit of your 'dream job':

"Oh, and even though she's a gorgeous woman, I've never warmed up Grace Kelly's cool persona, as much as I loved her in Rear Window (Hitchcock was really the only director to fully see her strengths, and build from that), and in my opinion To Catch a Thief, though charming, is fluff compared to the romantic puzzles of Notorious, Vertigo, Rear Window and Rebecca (I also adore Shadow of a Doubt)."

Yep, I'll take Teresa Wright's lovely ways vs. Grace Kelly's marble beauty any days.

I ran across you as one of the few commenters on a much beloved scene from a favoite pic of mine, B at T's, so pleased don't get spooked out. You are too cool for a lass your age. Major flicks of the genre deemed classic you tout. It's nice for me to see films that made a real impact on me still speak to those much younger and, presumably (I'm a TRADITIONal, conservative, southern male), and much different than myself. You've GK on your page and you don't list to 'Catch a Thief'?
