Fabulous . . . connecting man to art to spirit.
rozolution writing in from NYC appreciates the openness and fun of it, and hey it's all about drawing. Let's push that. My BURN ART happening (youtube/rozolution) in the Hamptons is all about pushing artists to be more critical of their work in this "anything goes" yet exciting maelstrom we are in. Dare to speak, draw, shout, love . . . and yes examine, educate ourselves - raise it higher. Make a difference.
visual balm.... i like that, as long as it isn't intentional camouflage for evil but more as a comfort and a beacon for touching the heart with this moment or another. After 9/11, I went to a show on icons at The Metropolitan where much of the work was described as "a source of comfort to a nation besieged." There was something very "non me-ism" about it... It made me ponder my own work and led me into new discovery.
Carmen... I like this Christmas song. Breaks through the centuries of human-devised clutter (for better and for worse) and brings us to a different approach, and sweetness. Thanks, Roz
In some ways, it's more impactful now than it was when we first showed this at "code." Some pieces are timeless. Thanks Regina. Roz
