Angelo has been playing tennis since youth with his identical twin brother Ettoré. He was a Tennis Pro at Yale University as well as North Haven Health & Racquet and Oaklane Country Club in Woodbridge, where he worked with the Tiny Tots, Junior and Adult Programs. Angelo first became a USPTA certified teaching professional in 1992 and is a lifetime member of the USTA. As a player, he has competed in USTA league and tournament play, achieving a rank of #3 in New England in Men's Open Doubles. In USTA league play, he has competed in 9.0 mixed doubles as well as 5.0 and open levels, in 1995 reaching the Nationals in 5.0 and Open Nationals in 2006. He won the USTA New England Sportsmanship award in 2005. Angelo began his teaching career at North Haven Health & Racquet under the tutelage of the late Scott Wilson. In On August 18-19, 2007, in memory of both Scott Wilson and Tim Gullikson, both who have inspired him, Angelo and his brother set an unofficial Guinness World Record for the longest contrived tennis rally in duration of time, which lasted 10 hours and 38 minutes while accumulating 19,490 combined strokes, a new U.S. record. He not only incorporates modern tennis concepts into his teaching methods but has a strong emphasis on the mental game of tennis, both with strategy and attitude. Angelo attended the University of Connecticut where he played Division 1 for the UCONN men's tennis team in singles and doubles. He has the opportunity to teach with ATP Tour Professionals such as James Blake, Monica Seles, the Jensen Brothers, MaliVai Washington, Tim Mayotte, Johan Kriek, Mikael Pernfors, Lou Gloria and Tom Gullikson. He and his brother secured the #1 doubles ranking in USTA New England Men's Open Division in 2007.Ettoré has been playing tennis since youth with his identical twin brother Angelo. Ettoré began his teaching career at North Haven Health & Racquet under the tutelage of the late Scott Wilson. In memory of Scott Wilson and Tim Gullikson to support the ALS Association and the Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation, on August 9-10, 2008, he and his brother set the Guinness World Record for the longest tennis rally in duration of time, which lasted 14 hours and 31 minutes while accumulating 25,944 combined strokes. He incorporates modern tennis concepts into his teaching methods as has been inspired by Oscar Wegner and the Inner Game philosophies pioneered by Tim Gallwey. He and his brother secured the #1 doubles ranking in USTA New England Men's Open Division in 2007.
