Halo Wars
The Halo Wars "Five Long Years" trailer. Halo Wars is a real-time action strategy game for the Xbox 360 that allows the player to control large armies and to shrewdly direct them in realistic warfare. Set early in the iconic war between the Covenant and UNSC - made famous by the Halo FPS games - Halo Wars provides a new angle on the war while bringing new heroes to the battle.
After Ensemble Studios released Halo Wars to the public, Robot Entertainment continued support for the the title with two Downloadable Content (DLC) packs. Titled Strategic Options, the first DLC pack adds three new multiplayer modes to Halo Wars - "Keepaway" which is similar to Capture the Flag, "Tug-of-War" in which players build large armies to exert their dominance, and "Reinforcement" in which players recieve extra units by reinforcements, instead of building them. The second DLC release, titled Historic Battles, introduced four new maps to the game - Barren (1v1), Blood River (1v1), Memorial Basin (2v2), and Glacial Ravine (3v3). It also adds four new achievements to the game.
