The Right to Work principle affirms the right of every American to work for a living without being compelled to belong to a union.

Compulsory unionism in any form--"union," "closed," or "agency" shop--is a contradiction of the Right to Work principle and the fundamental human right that the principle represents.

I have no problem with unions, but NO ONE should be forced to join.

No one with an I.Q. above 80 actually thinks that unions are beneficial to this country. I'll finish out the title even further, " Right to work for less than some union moron with an overblown salary ". Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Comrades! If you don't like your salary or working conditions, LEAVE!! Find other opportunities. Your job is not a life sentence, stop treating it as such...

At one time, unions had a purpose... that time has long since past. Nobody should be forced to join a union, no union member should be forced to put part of their union dues to PACs, no union should be able to dictate who works and who can't... unions do nothing more than take the money of the worker and use it for their own gains, plus protect the crappy employees from getting fired. I see it ALL THE TIME with teachers and other unionized workers in school districts. BTW, my father was in a union and got screwed when he retired because they are a bunch of lying, thieving, money-grubbing morons... had to go get a job after retiring because the UNION negotiated a reduction in pensions because not everybody was FORCED to join in a "right-to-work" state. So much for your protections... you people need to grow up and learn to take care of yourselves because the union doesn't give a rats' behind about you, it's all about staying in power.

"The Right to Work principle affirms the right of every American to work for a living without being compelled to belong to a union." Oh what a load Bull Sh*t the ONLY thing that Right to work does is allow an Employer to fire any one for any or no reason so they can hire someone else for pitily wages, they care nothing for the people that work for them Unions protect people from being taken advantage of!!! what dont you right to worker's get about that The money from Union dues goes to help fight the stupidity of employers employers are horders and they have plenty of money to go around the United states is not poor there are just those people that hord so much muney that it makes it look like the US is broke.

I live in KS and we are a Right to Work state and thank God that we are. I want to have a free choice on where I work. I also think that it is wrong to tell a company. like GM, that they have to pay the workers $74 an hour, with benefits, when the can't afford to pay that much. That is why companies like GM are moving to China, Mexico and Canada. And if the Unions are so great then what happened to Detroit? The city of Detroit just close 1/2 of their schools because the can not meet the demands of the Unions. Is that American? Is it American that part of my paycheck goes to some Union guy that wants to keep all of his benefits so he steals my money?

From my understanding, if Ohio becomes a "Right to Work" state, my husbands wages will be cut in half, we will lose the health care benefits that we have and probably lose our house since his wages will not be enough to pay all the bills. Is this correct? I am trying to get the facts.
