Roger Quick was born in London, England, in 1955. His family were West Country Celts who had emigrated to Canada; his grandfather was born in a log cabin his father had built in the Michigan backwoods.Roger's father Melvin grew up in Galt, Ontario, and came to England as a soldier in the HLI during the war. Like his father, Melvin was a minister in the Wesleyan tradition.
After a long career as a musican, in concert, opera, theatre and dance, Roger was ordained in the Church of England.
As a musician, and then as writer, performer and religious commentator, he broadcast regularly.
Since 2004 he has been Chaplain (Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts) at Strathallan School in Scotland.
