Championed as the innovator of an exciting, vibrant new sound set to push forward the boundaries modern music, Jovel Walker, better known as Random Impulse is quickly becoming one of the most talked about acts by both music fans and industry alike. Distinctly recognized by performing his self-written songs live by playing his electric guitar and rapping simultaneously whilst backed by a drummer, bassist and secondary guitarist, his live show are notorious for leaving his audience simply amazed, ecstatic and screaming for more.

The 24 year olds genre crossing and infectious sound soon caught the attention of the L.A based manager Chris Allen (The Collective) who also manages Superstar acts such as Kanye West, Linkin Park, Slash and The All-American Rejects. As Random Impulse's new manager alongside Julie Shama of Black Unicorn Music, Chris was eager to see the U.S's Reaction to the artist and immediately flew him out to play at notable venues such as The Viper Room and The Roxy. The reception was Phenomenal, which led to a long line of producers from both the U.K and U.S eager to work with the young artist, including Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams), Bleu McAuley (the Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez), Semothy Jones (Little Boots, Professor green/Lily Allen) and Brian West (K'naan, Nelly Furtato) to name a few. As a producer and writer in his own right, Impulse also wrote a track on rapper Lupe Fiasco's Forthcoming album 'Lasers' and has songs featured in hit tv shows such as HBO's Bones and CBS's NCIS: Los Angeles.

Having previously released 2 Grime/hip hop projects which collectively sold 16,000 units over the span of 10 months and a free indie ep which recieved 60,000 downloads, he has also gained a reputation being well respected recording engineer, having engineered for such acts as Tinie Tempah, Chipmink, Dj Ironik, Wiley and Scorcher. He Also runs his own blog which receives an impressive 500 hits daily. On the 9th of june 2010, Impulse began making weekly 'Refixes' of songs such as tinie tempah's frisky, and Dizzee Rascal's just a rascal in which he remakes the entire instrumental himself and writes and his own vocals, giving the songs his own personal imprint. The Refixes generated a real buzz amongst his listeners, as a result he is one the top 20 most viewed artists in the united kingdom on youtube every sunday (the day he releases his refixes,) and gaining 1500 channel views daily. He has also performed support slots for acts such as 3oh3, Iglu & Hartely and Tinchy Stryder and has been interviewed by Boxfresh, MTV, The Sun Newspaper (bizarre) and has appeared on SBTV and The BBC 2 television show 'No Hats No Trainers' being tipped off as being 'the uk's next superstar.'

He has already recorded a number of songs prepared for his first album, and is currently recording new songs to release an EP which he plans to release in late November along side a free downloadable mixtape of all his refixes. With an every growing fan base, and support from an array of nation radio dj's, It seems safe to say Random Impulse is destined for big things, set not to only refix artists songs, but the face of popular music all together.
