Lace is a very active girl who really loves to be around people. She needs a family who has experience with large breed dogs and will be able to provide her with the training and socialisation she needs. As she can be quite boisterous and is a big girl, she will be best suited to a family with no children under 12 years. Older children need to be supervised around Lace, (as with all dogs) and encouraged to participate in Laces training and general care.
Lace loves to go for a walk, and will need to be taken for one every day. She does tend to pull on the lead, so will need further lead training- using a halti would also assist. Laces new home must have no cats and pocket pets. She has met other dogs in the shelter, and while she has been happy to say hi, she is most happy around people! If you do already have a dog and you are thinking of adopting Lace, please bring your dog along to the shelter to meet Lace so we can see how they interact.
To ensure Lace is kept safe and secure she will need a large yard which has colourbond fences and gates that are at least 5ft high, and in good condition with no gaps or footholes. To help keep Laces coat and skin clean and healthy she will need a brush once or twice a week, along with regular worming and flea control, and a bath every 6-8 weeks.

BB originally arrived at the shelter with her best mate, another Mastiff x. Her friend found a home quickly, but BB took a little longer to settle in. She is now doing fantastic, and would really love to find her forever home, too!
BB is a lovely girl, and absolutely loves the company of people. She is a little shy at first, but comes to trust quickly.
Bb is quite a strong girl, and will need a fit and active owner who will be able to provide her with the ongoing training, socialisation and exercise she needs. Bb loves to go for a walk, and needs at least one long walk daily.
BB can be shy at times, and very exciteable at others. For this reason, she is best suited to a home with no children under 8 years. Older children should be supervised around BB at all times, as they should with all dogs, and shown how to interact with her. The whole family should meet her prior to taking her home.
BB is friendly with other dogs here at the shelter, however if you do already have another dog and you are thinking of adopting BB, please bring your dog along to the shelter to meet her, so we can see how they interact.
BB has shown no interest in cats or pocket pets, but we still recommend that if you do have any in your household, that you introduce her to them slowly, and supervise her around them.

Little white fluff balls and other mini man sydnrome type dog breeds. 99% of the time it is these little annoying bastards that come out there front yards to confront my dog and other dogs on leads walking past and I'm over the owners of these dogs. They think there dogs are harmless and deserve some special privillage to be allowed off leads, and obviously the midget dogs take advantage of the fact the other dogs on a lead with its ankle biting routine.. need an ad campain telling owners of these little shits that they're complete wankers :)
