Helping Those Who've Been Antied by Critics of LDS Church This is a play list that will expose the tactics used by anti-Mormon critics. It will contain talks, presentations, documentaries, & will explore how the answers that early Christian apologists gave early anti-Christians, answer many modern issues! Which answers & the doctrines the early Christian apologists used, such as: Deification; Christ's world wide trek; Christ preaching to the spirits in prison; pre-existence of souls, etc., are now being used again, because the gospel has been restored, along with these doctrines. Thus, RESTORED APOLOGETICS is not only the use of early Christian Apologetics, but also the use of modern LDS Apologetics that includes the spiritual gifts, testimony, modern prophets & apostles testimony & witnesses of Jesus Christ. Also, the difference being that RESTORED APOLOGETICS, though not an official LDS research team, still, despite this, it has members of the research team that have many of the restored spiritual gifts. The restored priesthood, & thus with that priesthood power, can testify & ask for priesthood blessings to be upon those who see the presentations, in order to present the strongest witness possible for those in tune to the spirit, the witness of the Holy Spirit behind the truths contained there in. That the witness of the spirit will be felt & an edification can take place as different ones explain answers to critics & offer evidences for the restored gospel. That's the difference between restored apologetics & early Christian apologetics. The early Christian apologists admit that the spiritual gifts were starting to fade out of the church. They knew that what the Jews once had, a long line of prophets, was given to them, which they hoped they wouldn't also suffer a loss in, but admit that they were, later on. Many of the apologists of the 2nd through 5th centuries, noted, acknowledged & admit, that the spiritual gifts, the prophets, etc., were fading out of the church, for no new line of prophets were ever known. So, they began to argued that they are not needed anymore. If there were prophets, we don't have their writings discovered yet. But what will the Christian world do, if such a thing was to ever happen? Because the spiritual gifts were fading out, as they admit, they then had to fall back on what they thought was the next best thing to living prophets, clever arguments! This was to become the traditional way to present their cases, to present what they believed was "the truth." Clever arguments, were often backed up with claims to scholastic degrees, & learning; the dialectics arts of debates in councils. Without prophets & apostles, etc., (Eph.4:10-14), they resorted to the use of logic, reason, & the wisdom of the wise. Eventually, relic magic was alleged to almost equal the spiritual gifts to some degrees. For a bone of an apostle was alleged to have healing powers; or a part of the cross, some other power, etc. In contrast, with the restoration, the Prophets & Apostles testify & defend the gospel, & testify boldly of seeing & being eye witnesses to & for the living resurrected glorified Jesus Christ! That he is the Son of God! This new line of prophets have product additional witnesses for Christ with new scriptures that testify of & for Christ, as such testimonies were recorded by ancient American prophets. They too testify of Christ & his world wide trek, having visited them too, after his resurrection (The Book of Mormon, 3rd Nephi). In this play list, their testimonies will also be considered, along with LDS Apologists, LDS scholars & other presentations. I hope this play list will help those who have come across anti-Mormon writings, etc. I hope also, even with a priesthood blessing, upon those who read this & see the videos in this play list; that at least the love of Christ will shine through with these presentations to even those "hard of heart," in the name of Jesus Christ. I testify that there indeed was an apostasy & a restoration, that Jesus Christ lives, & that prophets & apostles have been given to the world to help the world, if we will but follow Christ's teachings & heed his modern prophets & apostles. Contrasting LDS & Early Christian Versions of Deification The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' General Conference goers often are taunted by militant dedicated anti-LDS "Christians," who are working hard to "save" the LDS people from "doing good works, when we're saved by grace & not by works." Not seeing a contradiction in this, critics work hard to write tracts, research LDS books of the past, in order to find, or hear different comments that are then blown out of proportion, misinterpreted, or made into short shocking generalizations. Thus, obscure lines, & questionable opinions from earlier prophets & apostles, or others' opinions, talks, or sermons, etc., are used in printed forms, or in shouts of anti-Mormon slogans. They often are also on posters, tract headings, or multimedia web sites too. This on going display of polemics takes place at different entrances, but out side the gaits at Temple Square, were anti-LDS "Christian" preachers & their friends, gather to confront LDS conference goers, with such a dramatic display of distorted vilification tactics. Yelling, in some cases, shocking generalizations, like "the Jesus of Mormonism is brother to the devil," (if done on themselves, an = would be "Christians drink blood," (sacrament). Anti-LDS Christians ultimate goal is to do the works, called "witnessing," so that LDS can be saved by their, the critics' works. Which works are needed to "save" em from "burning forever in hell fire," for "having followed "false prophets," & for "accepting extra biblical scriptures" or "false books of scriptures," (Book of Mormon, etc). Thus, they spiritually battle it out with verbal confrontations with anyone willing to confront them about their shocking generalizations & slogans. By thus displaying misinformed & misinterpreted passages from LDS scriptures; or by showing questionable opinions of earlier LDS prophets' & Apostles' writings to make issues over. The critics themselves perhaps don't realize that the same types of vilification tactics were used by early anti-Christians. Plus, by Atheists against all religions. Though they have some valid points, in some cases, they use them to "freak LDS people out with." At the same time, if they are confronted with the same types of issues as found in their own scriptures or early Christian history, many of them don't like to deal with attempting to answer their own charges as they are reflected back to them in early anti-Christian writings. The answers that early Christian apologists gave to the early critics, answer many issues today. At the same time, some critics are like how different ones would listen to Christ in order to not be edified or learn from him, but to find something in what he said in order to attempt to trap or make issues over his teachings. Thus, in like manner, there are critics there that do the same type of things. A anti-LDS "Christian," who said his name was "Arron," with his camera, kept asking the same question over and over again, as though attempting to get footage he could then edit for what ever purpose. I suspect to make issues over & vilify LDS people with. Note how Arron avoids answering questions, when they are put back to him, in which he would have to deal with the same type of issue on deification & the "restoration of demons to heaven," (Origen 3rd cent.), as they are found in historic Christianity. When confronted with the same types of issues, he avoids a response by quickly asking another question, or the same one again & again. It got to the point where he would block questions by saying, "loaded question." What his intentions were & are, we shall see, if he should ever post his video on the Internet.
