With the Queen of Hearts, what you see is what you get. No tricks, just plain feel-good music with an empowering message for young women to be themselves. The unique blend of their voices capture the power of pop, to the heart and soul of r&b. United by sisterhood, the Queens are made up of the quirky and animated Nik, the blond bombshell Al, and the sweet-natured Sasha. With each of them carrying their own rare talent, there is no need for a lead vocalist. What prevails is a true trio ready to ignite the industry.
"We want girls of all ages to look at us and say, WOW, she's just like me". Sasha explains with a smile. The confident ladies are driven to make music that is relevant and relatable to their growing fans. Common experiences from having a bad day, to wanting to let loose with friends, to simply looking for love are reflected in songs such as " Look at Me Now."
"It's about being comfortable with who you are." Nik, the unique half Spanish-half Trinidadian adds, " No tricks. "
Carrying an infectious energy wherever they go, it's impossible not to be drawn in to these triple threat beauties. The girls met two years ago at a local audition where Queen of Hearts was formed. Since then, they have grown inseparable and are endlessly perfecting their craft in singing, dancing, and acting. Al shares, "We constantly push each other to put our best foot forward, together. Our passion and commitment to what we do can be seen in the quality of our performance."
Coming from completely different backgrounds, each Queen embraces their individuality, allowing it to only strengthen their harmonies. Taking their harmonies to the stage, they have become a solid force to be reckoned with.
These ladies caught the eye of award-winning production/management team Kuya Productions Inc. (Nelly, Ginuwine,Jesse McCartney,JRDN) who took an immediate liking to their sound. Just back from recording in Los Angeles with hit writers such as Rob Allen who wrote Rihanna's " Disturbia" and KC Livingston(Pussycat Dolls/Flo-rida) they are preparing for their first studio release.
Look out for their Debut single "Look At Me Now" at radio this fall 2011!
