About this user

Hi. I'm Kevin, I come from Guernsey and study film making at The University Of Central Lancashire. I'm into all sorts of film and media and love to see and experience new stuff.

I love film and video and want to work in it, again. So if you want to offer me a job/opportunity or whatever, go for it, ask me for a CV/Showreel!

I also dabble in a little 35mm photography and occasional fanzine article under the alias 'Pumpactionsunshine'.

I come from a technical background. My first job was with Channel Television doing camera/editing/live sound/ live vision mixing & live camera. Then I moved to BBC Guersney to be a Trainee Broadcast Engineer. Whilst I was there I worked on moving sites to a new studio and the Island Games 2003, both of which were massive project but ultimately rewarding. After a while I found that it wasn't for me and left having learnt alot about broadcasting technology and the media as a whole. I started doing a little freelance work the moved to full time with a local production company. Working mostly on small business meetings, doing projection, sound, powerpoint, lighting and set building, as well as working on visual media productions and larger, international events.

I've come to university to explore my creative side and to expand my horizons.

Since starting my course in sept 2005 i've really enjoyed the project i've worked on and turned out some work that I never thought I would.

I hope to build on the work already here, looking into experimental cinema and more personally led works. As well as getting involved with other peoples projects.

2007 has been a good year so far having being awarded the Royal Television Society Student award for the north west for my debut documentary 'Footprints & Photographs'. It has also featured on CUrrentTV, after winning their launch competition.

For now experimental documentaries and short films motivated by music are the way forwards for me.
