The deluded pro-Libertarian comments here are fantastic. Free market! (Nothing is free. Culturally and economically someone suffers. You can argue "kill or be killed", "everyone for themselves", which basically is the Libertarian/Conservative view, but that's a jungle and not a civilised country) Less Government! (Impossible. It's just reallocated to areas you can't see or notice).

I'm a libertarian...and I'm grateful to you for posting that. It's clever and well done. And it points out the danger of naive "anti-government," rather than "pro-liberty" attitudes. (I think that there are morally superior alternatives to coercion, but it doesn't follow that the mere absence of the state is the same as the presence of liberty, which rests on the institutions of law.) Well done.

Nevermind, "Beck In The Saddle" takes the cake.

Not sure why it got flagged - it added so much character to what Glenn had to say. ;-D

Okay, I am totally sorry if I left too many comments criticizing your video on Somalia - I guess enough people have mentioned Peter Leeson's research on the region already.

I am aching to see someone do a video on Bristol Palin's makeover. Or better yet, something about Julian Assange's rape "victims" getting a great deal of enjoyment out of the whole ordeal. At some point I hope someone has the creatively and the bravery to do the latter and you are more than capable of filling in the role.

Oh, and john.he.is would most definitely have to be your best video to date.

Funny video dude . Islandmuffin says all of this yet ask her where she lives haha ? It's funny these people that site a market that's unregulated also choose to live in a country that has prospered from a balance of regulation and the free market . The market we have today is predatory, not innovative . Today's market has such an immediate impact on the health of countries, no one can afford to wait for the market to correct itself .

Capitalism, coupled with civil liberties, best combats poverty while preventing tyranny: The free market solution for the poor - in a free society - is to work hard, gain skill, become educated, save capital for investment and move up an organization based on merit or invest in your own business.

Additionally, free markets lead to free minds and free peoples. Free markets also create mutually beneficial wealth and prosperity, while free trade promotes peace and understanding

1. In the past 10 years, did China lift hundreds of millions people out of poverty through socialism or through liberating their markets?
2. In the past 5 years, did redistribution lead to hundreds of thousands of deaths in Zimbabwe?
3. How many people will Chavez murder by destroying Venezuela's economy?
4. What will be the ramifications for Obama destroying the US free market, humanity's economic engine?

Libertarians support limited, minimal but effective government, not anarchy. Somalia is an "undeveloped" country. Research proves, in a developed economy, the closer to Laissez faire the richer the economy.

What you have presented is a Straw Man argument that libertarians would not advocate.

BTW: Communist agriculture in Ethiopia lead to famines and socialist cause deaths.
