@22jagdpanther - The Tiger was better than a Jagdpanther simply because the Tiger was a true tank. The Jagdpanther (which was one of the very best of that class of vehicle) was one of those turretless ambush vehicles that could be very effective in the right situation, but were not suited to lead an offensive like the Panthers and Tigers were. The jagds (including Marders, Hetzers and to some extent StuGs) were purely defensive. Enough blathering - did that answer your question?
