Sustainability cannot be maintained on the back of a broken system. Revolution is little more than an attempt to recycle something that wasn't working in the first place. The only way to affect change is through Evolution.Prophetnoise: An agent of evolution in a repetitive industry.
Prophetnoise's songs bombard your system with five senses of audio. He creates notes that mimic drops of water spinning in zero-gravity - amorphous, held together by their own volition. Producing his own brand of Cinematic Dubstep, Prophetnoise composes a calculated dichotomy of sound that is both ethereal and aggressive; minimalist and complex.
With a degree in music production and audio engineering, and more than 18 years of musical training behind him, Prophetnoise is a staple in Portland's music scene. He consistently has his hand in major events and venues in Portland, either performing as Prophetnoise, running sound, or playing bass in regional and local bands.
Prophetnoise is part of the Digital Organics Collective, which has worked with the likes of end.user and the Emrg+N+See Festival. He is Head of Sound for Portland venue AudioCinema and collaborates with regional hip hop masters Hungry Mob. He is also a constant presence on Portland Radio Authority and has been featured on the local cable television show, NOW WHAT?
Prophetnoise's music has been filtered through his upbringing in New York City, the debauchery of New Orleans, and the burgeoning music scene of his current home in Portland. He credits Portland with offering the perfect marriage of influence and confluence, allowing for the creation and existence of his music.
His latest album, Evolve, explores the concept of revolution versus evolution.
