Corporate polluters are spending hundreds of millions of dollars to block progress on clean energy jobs and energy independence. PolluterWatch was formed to hold them to account by exposing their influence peddling and propaganda.

PolluterWatch is founded on the premise that many in elected office, and even members of the media, have grown far too comfortable with the legalized corruption created by polluting industry lobbyists and the front groups they underwrite. We will hold them accountable by uncovering polluter propaganda documents, fact-checking corporate spin and exposing the financial relationship between polluter industry lobbyists and their attack-dog front groups.

Organized by Greenpeace USA, PolluterWatch will be advised by a panel of Americans who are leading the fight for cleaner energy and a stronger economy. This includes David Dionne of Westport, MA, a house painter and community leader who started fighting dirty coal plants from his backyard over a decade ago and Bonnie Swinford of Knosville, Tennesee, of United Mountain Defense, who has led efforts to protect communities from mountaintop removal and help victims of the Tennessee Valley Authority coal ash spill of December 2008. The effort is being led by Kert Davies of Greenpeace.
