Poledancefan is now on Facebook as Joel Lessing
About Me:
For fitness, I bike ride in the summer evenings from suburban Chicago down to the Navy Pier Beer Garden (13 miles) for a slice of Pizza and a Corona and head back after catching a few tunes from the band. Look for me on the green bike, LOL! In the winter, I treadmill and do weight machines.
FIVE QUESTIONS ABOUT POLE DANCING--FOOD FOR THOUGHT AND DISCUSSION:
1. Who was the first modern pole dancer?Putting aside traditional Chinese acrobatic pole for a moment, where was the first erotic pole installed? When? Are any of the first wave of pole dancers still around?
2. Can Pole Dancing as a sport exist side by side with its big "sister", the erotic pole dance and stripping? In male sports, "ultimate fighting" co-exists with its more regulated form, boxing. Why isn't pole afforded the same privilege?
3. Is pole dancing a form of fitness? Is it aerobic (running) or anaerobic (lifting)? As a corollary, would the US/Canada/EU ever permit pole to be taught as a sport to upper classmen(women) in High School? College? (Assume that proper mats, spotting and safety controls made the sport as safe as Stunt Cheering, Gymnastic Score Flashing, Parallel Bars--or High School Football.
4. Is the female frame inherently better suited to the gymnastics and the inverted poses in exhibition/competitive pole than the male form? Pretending for a minute that social stigma were not a factor, would men have to be "bulked up" to acomplish the same feats?
5. Could you ever envision Pole as an Olympic sport? How would it be judged? Would there be mandatory "figures"--as in ice skating? A freestyle event? Would music be permitted? What about floorwork?--given that many competition routines involve vaults and set-ups from floor poses. Would pumps/thrusts/slides be banned?
Well, I just like to change up my profile every month for the sake of variety. Post a comment or send a PM if you have an opinion one way or another.
Thank you to all the lovely ladies (and the occaisonal gentleman) of pole dance in all of its forms and genres who work so hard to make these videos, show off their unbelievable skills, and entertain an appreciative audience. Please treat them with respect and post a supportive comment!

Bonjour Joel! Bravo pour d'avoir trouver le pole dancing.... you look good and in shape! Continue!

Yes and no. Yes because I still strut around my room shaking my ass around but no because I no longer have the pole. The celing is just too bad and no matter how I fix it (attach to the beam) it still comes loose after a few weeks so I took the darm thing out. I'm going to wait until I get my own place and I'll get a real pole then I'll start off again:)
