Hello I just want to say thank you for your informational videos on pipe smoking . I got two pipes from my dad and they are well seasoned form the 60's (cherry was his favorite) . I just started using them last week and didn't know how to smoke them until now thanks to you! Keep up the good work and enjoy the smoke.

i have recently gotten in to pipe smoking more regularly. i've smoked a pipe off and on for the past two years and the biggest problems i've had were tongue bite and improper packing leading to constant relights. as a result i favored cigars predominantly for an extended period of time. i appreciated pipes quite a lot but my technique was lacking.

despite that, historically i have always favored english blends and other nonaromatic tobaccos over aromatics. only recently have i found an aromatic i can enjoy - and a cheap drugstore blend at that (CBW). i find as i smoke more and become a more experienced pipe smoker i am able to enjoy a wider variety of tobaccos, and while as a cigarette and cigar enthusiast i appreciated only pure tobacco flavor, i lately have found that aromatics can be pleasurable.

You should try catnip. I hear that it gives you euphoria and has soothing effects when smoked.
