- In 2003, the Institute of DNA analyses in Virginia (USA), concluded that Macedonians have a Mediterranian DNA, which means that they originate from the Balkan Penincula.

The Byzantine historian and writer Nichephore Gregoras during his visit to the Macedonian town of Strumica in 1326, recorded that there he heard a large number of Macedonian folk songs. He affirms that, although he did not understand the language of the local population, the folk songs from Strumica definitely resembled - the Phrygian folk songs!

Брат, во право си... Само шо јас од сите народи на светот само со Шиптарите неможам да бидам во никој случај пријател! Со другите можам доколку ме признаваат како Македонец, без разлика дали биле Грци или нешто друго...
Најтрагично е то шо таму има родени Македонци, којшо не го знат Македонскиот јазик и се поголеми "националисти" од самите грци и тврдат дека се грци, а не Македонци.
Од секогаш - со тие шо биле пријателски расположени и шо гледале објективно на работите! Сум нашол досега неколку такви ;) Ги сакам и немам ништо против Грчките граѓани шо не поддржуваат како Македонци, бидејќи тие не се криви за то шо се родени како Грци. Животот не им дал избор шо да бидат! Само сум против Грчките политики и Грчките националисти шо го негираат нашето потекло...
