The Pop Up is an annual cultural event dedicated to exploring and showing the multiple expressions of urban culture and its agents. Intervenes in urban vacant or abandoned spaces, giving them new life through art. It brings together new talents and established artists , the cultural dynamics of the program is conducted to have a permanent interaction with the identity and population of the city where the event takes place.

Pop Up first took place in Lisbon, but has the ambition to reach other cities in Europe and the rest of the world and to become an international platform of exchange of urban culture, bringing together artists and talents from all over the world with the goal of promoting the city of Lisbon and its cultural identity - in and out of doors.

The Pop Up Lisboa 2010 will take place between the 4th of November to the 11th of December and will be dedicated to Urban Nomads. It brings together an exhibition of urban culture projects in various areas of artistic expression, the program includes the promotion of several lines and spaces, with the participation of dozens of artists, not only from Portugal.

The Pop Up Lisboa 2010 develops components of investigation and research, directly inviting artists and experts from the fields of culture and art, to work and discuss on the theme and conceptual subjects of the event, which will be materialize in the cycle of "Conversations Pop Up Lx 2010 "and on the presentation of the site-specific art projects, in areas where the event takes place. The event will also open its doors to fifteen new talents, selected through the Pop Up 2010 Artistic Project Contest, which is open to artists from all over the globe.
