Informed but not entrapped by soul and gospel music, ornamented by a Cuban horn section and his own gorgeously imperfect piano playing, the album achieves a sort of metaphysical dimension while maintaining breathtaking intimacy.

We live here in South Florida, and try to play your music, and spread your name around with pride to everyone whom we meet. (Not to mention that you are from our favorite country, Canada). I can only hope that you will play a concert at a small venue down here sometime in the near future. I recently lost my Father,my Mom died 4 years ago, and I have to say that your music being so melodic, with such poignant lyrics, has so often lifted my spirits, and moved to me tears. Being a therapist myself, I believe that you have helped me more than traditional therapy would have.

One of my theories ,as a music "lover" ( as opposed to " consumer"), is that as one goes through life one of the greatest gifts which a friend or family member can bestow upon you- or vice versa, you to them- is an introduction to an artist whose words and music they or you have come to love so very much that they or you just have to spread the word ..and the music....to fellow music lovers. You and your unimaginably beautiful words and music were a gift to me from my nephew quite a few years ago . I owe him an enormous debt. I partly repay this debt by introducing many of my friends to your music. For which- your music, that is- we all owe you so many thanks. Love Shines. It certainly does.
