As we see it: Music, like culture itself, flows like a river...

Here are music video samples from our 2010 field recordings which are part of a collection of oral histories and performances of women musicians in traditionally based music. As this body of music we're collecting continues to grow, we'll add more interesting videos, and are conducting further oral history interviews to add to this substantial collection.

We call these women musicians "AMERICANA WOMEN." Portions of this collection, which has been recognized as a "2010 Key Acquisition" of the American Folklife Center, The Library of Congress, are the basis for a documentary film (work in progress) and a larger work that will be distributed as an educational lessons to schools and universities.
