About No More Dreams
No More Dreams (NMD) were a greek punk band formed in early 1983 as part of the greek punk rock. They experimented also with new wave, post-punk and other forms of the 80's music. They influenced by the Clash, Stranglers, Cure, Zounds, The Mob, David Bowie, U2, Depeche Mode etc.
NMD consisted of:
Aris Zarakas (vocals, guitars, synths)
Kostas Zofeas (guitar, vocals),
Spyros Kolelis (bass, vocals),
Iraklis Anagnostopoulos (drums) and Ilias Zonoudakis (sound engineer).
After a car accident NMD had in May of 1984, Iraklis and Ilias killed and the band continued with a new member, Petros Magoulas (guitar). The band played a large number of gigs around Athens at many famous clubs and stages of those days like: ΣΟΦΙΤΑ, Paranoid, Bang Club, ΠΗΓΑΣΣΟΣ, ΑΓΚΑΘΙ,Μουσική Αποθήκη, Cigogne, etc, with great success gained many fans. Made no discography but only demos of their songs made themselves. Finally and suddenly disbanded in 1986. No More Dreams...
