"I am trying to find a video you uploaded once that recommended a book on metaphysics and epistemology."

It is on my old cropperb channel, and it is titled "Metaphysics and Epistemology texts," so you were on track.

Mr. Cropper, I am trying to find a video you uploaded once that recommended a book on metaphysics and epistemology. However, I am having trouble finding it since I don't remember the title. Could you send me a link to the video I am thinking of?

"I'll assume you're familiar with the film "Super Size Me." Have you ever heard of the film "Fat Head?""

Yes, I've seen them both. "Super Size Me" is as biased and socialist-leaning as a "documentary" can get, while "Fat Head" is a microcosm of how our culture should look, and will look if Objectivism wins the day. I highly recommend "Fat Head" to anyone interested in anything.

I'll assume you're familiar with the film "Super Size Me." Have you ever heard of the film "Fat Head?" It's a well-reasoned, witty response to the former, and I also stumbled upon an entirely unexpected (certainly unintended and inexplicit) and rather striking allegory to altruism. If you see the same connection there, perhaps you'll get a kick out of it. It's on Netflix. Cheers.

"Recently, there has been a huge movement in both the government AND the media to disparage our constitution"

I'll tune into that and start paying attention. Thanks for the alert. The Tea Party may be either just in time, or too late.

Recently, there has been a huge movement in both the government AND the media to disparage our constitution-- Everywhere from Obama, to that judge, to the news, to even my state's public radio station. Is something a foot, this is sorta scary...

Mr Cropper, if you're ever interested in reading good science fiction, I think you'd really like Ender's Game. It's about a genius kid who gets recruited for the space military. They only recruit children because the alien species that once attacked humans is so advanced that the commanders have to be trained from a very early age. I never would have thought that I'd enjoy a book about children who study military strategy, but it's a really profound and poignant book. It's a big hit among people who felt like lone geniuses in their early years.

"I haven't read science fiction since I was 12 years old" Seriously?! Then what I can say about the "dean of science fiction writers" is that his texts, three of them his best that I highly recommend, read like a like philosophical treatises. I recommend starting from "Starship Troopers" by Heinlein; which is very anti-communist and straight-forward on military tactics. Also I recommend reading "Stranger in a Strange Land" that's considered the "unofficial hippie bible" and "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress", often called the quintessential libertarian novel and there is reference to John Galt in said book. Now for a little trivia on "Starship Troopers", it's read in the officer candidate schools of three of the US military branches: the navy, marine corps, and the army, meanwhile, the actors in the movie "Aliens" were required to read Troopers before performing on the set of the film.

"Ever read anything by Robert Heinlein?"

Nope. Azimov's "Foundation" series was recommended to me, and I tried it but could only get 5 pages in. I haven't read science fiction since I was 12 years old (Sword of Shannara, Hobbit). The last two fiction books I tried to read were George Eliot's "Mill on the Floss" and Solzhenitsyn's "Cancer Ward." I made it about 150 pages into each and put them back on my shelf. I recently tried CP Snow's "Sleep of Reason" and didn't get past page 80. I just don't like fiction.

At least we agree on begging and leaning on friends is wrong. Ever read anything by Robert Heinlein?
