About this user

My wife and I are middle aged hard working Americans. Originally from the Northeast, we moved to California during 1997 to participate in the high-tech career lifestyle. Since that time we have both come to the realization that the price we pay for trading so much of our time for dollars during the long work weeks, and the associated stress, was too high and not for us, despite the financial incentives.

We would like to share with you ideas and examples of what we have done to make changes in our lives that are leading us to a more fulfilling and simpler life. A life where we are reclaiming our time and are liberating ourselves from 'the system'.

Given the present recession that we are living through today, we both believe that getting back to the basics is what will see many of us through.

Modern society and younger generations have lost much of the knowledge and common sense that our grandparents used to survive. Our mission is to share with you the ideas and things we have learned along the way through our real life experiences which we hope will help you achieve your own liberation.
