"What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
-R.W. Emerson-
"All that most maddens and torments; all that stirs up the lees of things; all truth with malice in it; all that cracks the sinews and cakes the brain; all the subtle demonisms of life and thought; all evil, to crazy Ahab, were visibly personified, and made practically assailable in Moby Dick. He piled upon the whale's white hump the sum of all the rage and hate felt by his whole race from Adam down; and then, as if his chest had been a mortar, he burst his hot heart's shell upon it."
"Moby Dick" -Herman Melville-
"Nature is but an image or imitation of wisdom, the last thing of the soul; nature being a thing which doth only do, but not know."
-Plotinus-
"He was a man, taken for all in all. I shall not look upon his like again."
"Hamlet" -William Shakespeare-
"We have to fight against language to prevent the imposition of its formulae, clichés and set phrases, everything that typifies a poor writer."
-Julio Cortázar-
"Break heart, drop blood, and mingle it with tears, Tears falling from repentant heaviness Of thy most vile and loathsome filthiness, The stench whereof corrupts the inward soul With such flagitious crimes of heinous sins As no commiseration may expel, But mercy, Faustus, of thy Saviour sweet, Whose blood alone must wash away thy guilt."
"The Tragical History Of Doctor Faustus"
-Christopher Marlowe-
"Dark and difficult times lie ahead. Soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy."
"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire"
-J.K. Rowling-

Country:
United Kingdom
Occupation:
Barrister/Legal Consultant/Federal Prosecutor & Special Counsel
Schools:
From current to past, Cambridge University, Cambridge, England, UK, University of California Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, USA, Creighton University, Omaha, NE, USA, University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, USA, Dickinson State University, Dickinson, ND, USA, Minot State University, Minot, ND, USA, & University of Mary, Bismarck, ND, USA.
Interests:
Some of my interests include technical writing, literary criticism, cinema/film/stage/theatre, poetry, philately (neophyte), constitutional/parliamentarian law (keen on housing and labour/EOE as well), world history (with focus on England between 1500-1850 CE), medicine, theology, philosophy, historical alchemy, contemporary alchemy, theoretical physics, mantric meditation, and astral projection, to name a few. While it is not a hobby, I have to get it out to the masses of people that are reading this that I am rather fond of Italian ice and of staunchly aged brandy served in classy snifters.
Movies:
Some of my favourite movies include:"The Shawshank Redemption," "American Beauty," "Pride and Prejudice," "The Lord of the Rings," "Se7en," and "Angels in America."Television shows..."Fringe," "Boston Legal," "ER," all the many "Star Treks," "Brothers and Sisters," "Glee," and "Stargate."
Music:
Music is a very important part of my life, both as a musician and as a listener. Finding and listening to music is the primary reason I use YouTube, although I do tend to find myself engaged in debate (argument) a lot on YouTube. I am an A-Z kind of dude. I try to immerse myself in the arts as much as I can. That said, hit me up with jazz, blues, alternative, oldies, eclectic, pop, "classical," some rock, Indie, new age, punk, and a good dose of Broadway and the West End, and I will stay occupied.
Books:
This category hits close to home since I am seldom found without a book on my person. All I can say about this category is that my first pursuit at university was world literature. I am not fussy about reading unique styles of writing. I crave diversity in literature. I like to encourage everyone to read all the classics in American, British, and Eastern literature. If you learn them and love them, you will be well on your way to becoming an incredibly well rounded person. Dio ti ama.Current reads:"Psychoanalysis and Religion" by Erich Fromm, "Man For Himself" by Erich Fromm, "Brain Sex" by Anne Moir, and "Maelstrom" by Austen Andrews.
