Blending classical finger-stylings that have been in development for centuries with modern-day rock, Loki makes the guitar sing like it never has before. As a songwriter, he threads his pieces together with wit, irony and raw emotion. Melodies fuse emotion and tension; lyrics give dirty double meanings to poetry.
Loki first taught himself to play guitar as a teenager. Unable to read music he went to West Chester University where he first discovered classical/finger-style guitar. Once he picked it up he was hooked, completely revamping his playing style and discarding the guitar pick completely.
Playing by ear he started his first band in high school and played back up in the Upper Merion Jazz Band and Orchestra. He would spend his college career performing in the West Chester Guitar Ensemble. After graduation he floated around for a number of years, playing bass and guitar for a number of bands and even spending a brief time performing opera. A well rounded musician: Loki's style has been refined into a new soulful mix of heartbreak, hang-over and humor.
