Abstaining from worldly lusts and temporal pleasures of this earth. Non compliance, and self-sufficiency. Starve the system. This is not about overthrowing our government, violence and revolution will achieve nothing, it's about winning the war within. This is a war, where we are the soldier and the battlefield. Man is created to serve a god. You will serve the God of the Heavens or the god/gods of the world. There is no choice. To be friend of the world is to be enemy of God. The one who wants to be friend of the world makes himself enemy of God.

The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.
