advocating the moral superiority of liberty
About Me:
Capitalism is the natural evolution of barter. Through voluntary exchange, scarce resources are directed to their best utilization by consumer demand. Government intervention can only disrupt the process, favoring one group over another.
The Constitution limits federal authority, but since it cannot enforce itself, our founding document is vulnerable to sabotage from those "public servants" charged with protecting and defending it.
Less than a century ago, it was generally recognized that the federal government lacked even the authority to ban alcohol without a Constitutional amendment.
Today, our government recognizes no limitations on its authority.
Government mandates everything from health insurance to light bulbs, assaults individual liberty on a daily basis, treats traveling Americans like criminals, spends tax money bailing out politically connected friends and empowers itself to take over privately held companies on a whim.
"The two enemies of the people are criminals and the government. So let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first."
--Thomas Jefferson
