The sound of Corinthian Bells on a windy morning—earbuds or headphones recommended
I have Corinthean 29 inch wind chimes, which have a very melodic ring. I have been attempting to get a decent recording for several weeks. A couple of nights ago the wind really started blowing at 2:00 AM. I broke out the recorder and this is the result. The wind ebbs and flows quite a bit on this recording, but I think it adds to it. At some points you can hear a low drone that sounds like an engine; it's the wind blowing up from the valley through the pines. Plenty of scuttling leave sounds too. Interesting, the sounds nature makes. There are some sounds of cars, which I decided to leave in and not edit out. Who are these people out at the lake at this hour? As we listen to this recording, let's all imagine what these people are doing at 2AM parking down at the lake below my house—in February. I hope someone finds this relaxing.

The sound of a lawnmower
This is the sound of a lawnmower on a very windy Sunday afternoon. It comes with all the sounds that go with the activity—wind in the trees, leaves blowing across my yard, birds, bugs, dogs barking, and cars passing. Unfortunately, you can also hear the mowers hitting sticks and rocks (Dudes—clean your yards before you mow). I have been recording lawnmowers all summer and this October audio is the best of the recordings. This audio is not as loud as I would like because it a recording of my neighbor(s) mowing their lawns. Those of you that enjoy sleeping in your hammocks while the neighborhood slaves away (like me), will hopefully enjoy this. You should use headphones or earbuds to get the most from the audio. I hope that someone finds this relaxing.

For Sylvermagyk—the sound of a train
This is the sound of a train passing through town on a rainy night. The rain and wildlife were unplanned pieces of this audio. I set out to capture a train passing on a particular piece of track at night because I wanted to avoid the sound of car traffic. I recommend using headphones or earbuds to get the most from this audio. I hope someone finds this relaxing.

The sound of the May 22, 2011 storm front that spawned the Joplin Tornado.
This is an audio recording of what I thought would be a normal thunderstorm rolling through the area. I wanted to capture the storm as it rolled in. What I captured was the sound of the storm front that spawned the Joplin tornado. I don't think many will find this relaxing as the recording ends with the sound of the tornado sirens sounding. I apologize in advance for the eeriness—but I couldn't bring myself to delete it and now I am sharing it with you. I had no idea what this storm had produced just north of my town until the news reports came in 20 minutes or so after I stopped the recording.
