With their successful first 7" release 'Steam' and debut single 'Am I Dreaming?' already sending ripples through the European funk & soul community in early 2009, Laura Vane & The Vipertones self titled debut album exploded with a big bang on the scene! Add to that the success of the 'Roof Off Remixes EP' and the 'Remixes & B-sides EP', they are treading the same path as many have done before them: both playing intimate half-lit hot-spots in the hearts of many cities and entertaining crowds of thousands at festivals!
Support for Laura Vane & The Vipertones has come from all angles. From online bloggers and music forums worldwide, Dutch Radio 6 and well respected 3FM deejays like Giel Beelen and Gerard Ekdom, to BBC Radio deejays such as Jonathan Ross, Mark Lamarr and Craig Charles in the UK. Also the band appeared on television shows like DWDD and have been covered in a slew of publications from personal blogposts all the way to feature stories in Algemeen Dagblad, Fret, OOR and many others. With continued support across the globe on radio and television.
With their incredible live show, Laura and the band are gathering an unstoppable momentum playing gigs such as iJazz, Moods, The Unique Soul Weekender, WOMAD festival Las Palmas, Blue Balls Festival, Tour The France, North Sea Round Town, Big Rivers, Athens Half Note Jazzclub, Tempo Club and many more.
On April 15th, 2011, Laura Vane & The Vipertones will hit the streets with their second album 'Sugar Fix' produced by Phil Martin, Ton van der Kolk & Laura Vane. The record shows a variety of styles and inspiration. Laura's voice was never stronger and her inspired lyrics combined with instrumental elegance provided by the rest of the band results in a record full of strong and catchy songs. Laura Vane & The Vipertones are quickly becoming a seriously infectious sound and one of the must see's for 2011.
