Me pettin' cats and yacking about the time I took LSD for three days on a bus when I moved form Virginia to San Francisco. This is my first ever Vlog post. Expect many many many more.
I make films and write books for a living, and my info and blog is Stink Fight: http://www.stinkfight.com
I started vlogging because Alan FallOfAutumnDistro http://www.youtube.com/user/fallofautumndistro heard me tell a story and thought I'd make a good vlogger. So blame him if you think this sucks. lol.....Also, I usually do projects that take a year or two of 80 hour a week work, I wanted to try something that would only take an hour or so.
I shot this on a Cannon PowerShot A460 still camera that also shoots video. Recorded the audio separately and synced later. Microphone is a MXL M-3B, which cost three times as much as the camera, which is probably why the audio is at least three times better than the video.

Cat: Charlie Squitten Jr. Backup vocals & cat wrangling: Debra Jean Dean. SAX: Bob Bartosik. NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED (they were just mildly annoyed and would rather have been sleeping.)

Short demo using cheap web cam, but recording audio separately on Zoom H2 digital recorder. First half of video is with audio recorded on the mic built into the web cam. Second half of video has audio recorded separately and synced in post. The difference is astounding.

Song I sang for my daughter, Amelia Laine Worth shortly after her death from Leukemia last year. Haven't been able to listen to this song I sang it in memory of my daughter, Amelia Laine Worth shortly after her death from Leukemia last year.
Finally listened to again yesterday. And today I went up on a hill, recorded another track of vocals. Wife held the camera, I edited the video. I like it a lot. Made me cry a little, and that made me feel better.
JESUS, I miss my daughter. ---- Song: "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen. Arrangement: Jeff Buckley. Arrangement: Michael W. Dean. Vocal: Michael W. Dean. Drums, guitar, bass and organ: Cliff Truesdell. Pedal steel guitar: Charlie Kramer.
