American trumpeter Joel Brennan enjoys a diverse career performing as an orchestral, chamber, and solo musician. Joel has served as principal trumpet of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra and Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared with orchestras worldwide such as the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Orkest van Het Oosten, and Bilkent Symphony Orchestra.
A proponent of contemporary music and chamber music, Joel has given solo and collaborative recitals in the United States, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, the Philippines and Japan. He is a member of Reveille, a collective dedicated to exploring new paths for trumpet while connecting performers, composers and audiences in innovative ways
Joel studied at Oberlin Conservatory and the Yale School of Music from which he received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree. He is the recipient of a Fulbright Grant (2007) and is currently Assistant Professor of Music at Brandon University.
