My husband always said I needed to be televised, well here I am-LOL! I just wanted to create something that would reach somebody maybe going through the same journey as me or thinking about making a change. I'm in a transformation mode. Any advice to anyone who wants to go natural?
Go for it! There's so much information on the internet to get started. Use your resources and find support in friends and family. Good Luck :)
How long did you transition?
I transitioned for about 3-4 months..I just got really sick and tired of the two textures. So I had braids in and I woke up with this NEED to but my hair. So no one was home..I went into the bathroom and cut a braid out and wet it with water and it curled..I was in amazement!! So I took my braids out and did my own big chop! That date was January 31, 2009! Two years later I'm a happy camper :)
What is your routine?
I shampoo every 7-10 days..cowashing in between washes when needed. Whenever I use shampoo I do a deep treatment. Seal the moisture with a leave in and butter and style.
Favorite style? I love my chunky twistout..anything that stretches my hair is a winner in my book.
Least favorite hair style? Anything that shrinks up my hair and causes it to twist and tangle on itself..so wash and go's are very cute on me but the aftermath is just awful..lol!
Do you use heat on your hair?
I don't on a regular bases but I'm not against it. Since being natural, blowdrying is a very daunting task so I don't do it often and then my hair just reverts back because of my workout schedule.
Do you have any goals for your hair?
My goal is to have bra strap length hair but more importantly to have a head full of HEALTHY HAIR!
How often do you get your ends trimmed?
Evey 3-4 months professionally but when my hair is in twists I'll dust the ends if needed!
What advice would you give someone who wants to start making Youtube videos?
Be yourself and have lots of fun! Don't be intimidated by vlogger that have been on longer, cause everybody has something to add to the natural hair community..there is room for all of us!
What have you learned from your hair journey so far?
The biggest lesson I learned to be patient and gentle with my hair. I don't do my hair when I'm rushing or frustrated!
What do you think about permanent coloring your natural hair?
I am looking into getting blonde highlights done so I'm not opposed to it. I just think it should be done by a professional who know how to color curly hair!

Family, natural Hair, makeup, pampering myself, and just discovering myself as a woman! It took me years to realize that your not neglecting your husband or children if you take a minute for yourself everyday! As woman we are nurturers but we don't nurture ourselves!
