Here is the intro/montage to the Santa Clara Women's Soccer program season 2011 highlights video for their banquet.
This creation was inspired by the intro of movies based on Marvel Comics - even though the effect was not perfectly done.

Occupy Movement - Now at University of California, Riverside (UCR) due to the UC Regents Meeting. UCPD also in riot gear.
Article: 1/19/2012 "Occupy Movement and ASUCR Advocate for Students Outside Regent Meeting"
Julian Moore, writer Protesters emerged outside the University of California Regents Meeting on the University of California Riverside campus Wednesday to express their frustration with the latest round of budget cuts to the school system. The UC Regents announced plans to slash $750 million from the UC budget in 2012, in addition to a series of tuition increases and other budget reductions brought upon the schools since 2009.
Some instructors led "teach-outs" by holding their courses outside of classrooms, while a number of student-led organizations, including Occupy Riverside and Associated Students of UCR, held rallies on the Riverside campus to protest fiscal decisions by the Regents.
Cindy Liles, a third-year environmental studies major at UCR, said she joined Riverside's Occupy encampment because of their involvement with other organizations, but that she agrees with their anger towards the Regents.
"I'm coming close to graduation, and my last English requirement can't be fulfilled because the class I needed got cut last year," she says.
Fellow Occupier Jasmine Kavezade, a third-year biology and psychology double major, said that she perceived the December 2011 Regents' pay increases for 12 administrators and attorneys of up to 23 percent as greedy considering the impact budget cuts have had.
"We care about the UC's liaisons to Sacramento but it pisses me off that while they're making decisions that affect me, they are getting paid more and more," she said. "They cut our [UCR's] journalism and communications programs, and that's why Occupy is demanding they rescind their pay increases."
Another group leading protests Wednesday was ASUCR, who, along with students outside the student government, brought forth an alternate proposal for increasing the UC budget. The plan, entitled "Fix UC" has garnered attention from across the state, even from UC President Mark Yudof. During his opening remarks inside the Regents meeting President Yudof said that, "I find myself in accord with the philosophical undergirding of this constructive proposal," and said he holds "great respect" for the authors of the plan.
UCR students Alex Abelson and Chris LoCascio, who helped develop the budget proposal, gave speeches at the ASUCR rally describing their vision for UC's future in gathering funds. Abelson, a fourth-year studying economics, explained "in the first six years of this proposal's implementation, we could eliminate all of the current deficits."
The central idea behind the plan is to take 5 percent from the earnings of all UC graduates who find a job after graduating, while paying little to nothing during their tenure at the universities. The 5 percent would apply to all employed graduates, regardless of their wage and ideally would compel the University to assist students in finding work in order to get their money back.
"We worked for nine long months to get this proposal done," LoCascio, who is also the editor-in-chief of UCR's Highlander newspaper, said. "We hope that the Regents will take these students' voices seriously."
Chris Riley, a fourth-year political science major at UCR, was also involved with the creating of "Fix UC" and introduced his own fundraising idea: a political action committee for the sake of UC students. He believes that the Regents have been forced to make hard decisions with the realities of Sacramento's budget, and that now students should take funding into their own hands.
"I want this PAC to help get rid of the 'blame the Regents' mentality," Riley said.
By establishing a student voting bloc and financial support for candidates willing to represent students' interests in Sacramento, Riley believes that students can steer their own agenda.
"It's not fair for us to be charging students for their education when they can literally least afford it."

McCain mistakenly praises Obama during speech for Romney on January 5th 2012 in South Carolina.
More info from WCNC:
CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Mitt Romney visited Charleston, South Carolina along with Governor Nikki Haley and Senator John McCain on Thursday to continue his push for the Republican presidential nomination
It's a long, hard road for the candidates and the people who endorse them, too. During his speech on behalf of Romney, McCain had some mistakenly nice things to say about president Barack Obama.
From Huffingtonpost: John McCain Slips Up, Says 'Obama Will Turn This Country Around'
While speaking at a campaign rally Thursday in support of GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) mistakenly professed his faith in President Barack Obama's ability to improve the economy.
"I am confident, with the leadership and the backing of the American people, President Obama will turn this country around," McCain said, as seen above in a video from Goose Creek Patch.
McCain -- who endorsed Romney on Wednesday just after the GOP hopeful won the Iowa Caucus by a razor-thin margin -- appeared at the rally in Charleston, S.C., along with fellow Romney supporter Gov. Nikki Haley (R-S.C.).
The crowd, as well as Haley and Romney, quickly realized McCain's error. Haley leaned in to correct McCain, grabbing his elbow.
"Excuse me, President Romney," McCain said.
The Obama-Romney mix-up wasn't the only awkward moment during McCain's appearance. According to BuzzFeed's Zeke Miller, McCain made a comment about Clemson University's "victories on the gridiron."
Clemson lost the Discover Orange Bowl to West Virginia University on Wednesday night. Miller later tweeted that McCain intended the line as a joke.
From Perez Hilton News:
Remember when people said they thought John McKain was too old to be president? They may have been right!
While he was supposed to be endorsing Mitt Romney for the Republican presidential candidacy at a rally in South Carolina, the senator told the conservative crowd he is confident President Obama will turn this country around.
It takes a few seconds to sink in, but Mitt casually steps in to remind old John what he was supposed to say.
"Me! You're supposed to say me you stupid old fart!" LOLz!
Just kidding! He didn't say that, but we bet he wanted to. This is one of the best political blooper's we've ever seen and maybe even...a Freudian slip?
Check out the video above and slap this on your favorite Republican's Facebook wall!
This may be on ominous sign for poor Mr. Romney!

"Alkmaar goalkeeper Esteban Alvarado sent off for kicking pitch invader"
The action in the KNVB Dutch league was overshadowed by the ugly incident at the Amsterdam Arena which forced the abandonment of the match. With 37 minutes gone, and with Ajax leading 1-0 thanks to Gregory Van Der Wiel's goal, a supporter ran on to the field and went to attack the AZ goalkeeper Esteban. The Costa Rican responded by kicking the fan to the ground before stewards intervened. Referee Bas Nijhuis then sent off the 22-year-old, prompting a furious reaction on the AZ bench. AZ coach Gertjan Verbeek responded by calling his players from the field forcing Nijhuis to abandon the game.
"Our players did not feel safe on the field," AZ technical director Earnest Stewart said. "We took a shower and went home. This does not belong in football and then we also get a red card. Now it's wait and see what the KNVB does." Ajax director Jeroen Slop aplogised for the incident, saying: "This was a terrible incident and we deeply regret it and offer our sincere apologies. "The supporter has been handed over to the police.
"It was a 19-year-old man who was probably under the influence of alcohol. He said he hated the AZ goalkeeper and had therefore attacked him." Source: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/spor...

Small highlight video of the Santa Clara University (SCU) Women's Soccer vs. Pepperdine University (Pep/PU) at Santa Clara University Buckshaw Stadium.
Date: 10/28/2011
Results: SCU beats PEP 1 to 0.
Article: No. 10 Santa Clara Takes Down Undefeated No. 3 Pepperdine; Now First In WCC.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - In a battle of top-10 teams, No. 10 Santa Clara University (12-1-5; 5-0-1 WCC) beat No. 3 Pepperdine (13-1-4; 5-1-0 WCC) by a score of 1-0. The lone goal was scored by Bridgett Miller with under 10 seconds left in the first half. The game-winning goal was the third in a row for Miller. "Our team performed very well today. No one has been able to beat Pepperdine and they were in first place in the conference. We're now all alone in first place and feeling pretty good about ourselves," said Bronco head coach Jerry Smith. "We have a couple of tough games left but I'm very proud of the team tonight and I thought it was a very good team effort." Sofia Huerta had a golden chance in the 22nd minute when Alyssa Kleiner played a beautiful through ball to Huerta who got behind the defense and had a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. She took a shot on the ground that got passed the keeper but hit the right post and bounced to Pepperdine who cleared the ball. Julie Johnston had a good chance with just over a minute left in the first half. She had a one-on-one with the goalkeeper but the goalie made a terrific kick save that knocked the ball out of bounds for a corner kick. With seven seconds left in the half, goalkeeper Bianca Henninger came to midfield to take a free kick. She sent the ball into the box and after it bounced around Bridgett Miller got a handle and chopped the ball on the ground that found a path through the defense and found the back of the net. The goal made the score 1-0 Broncos and was Miller's third goal in as many games. In the 52nd minute Henninger made a beautiful jumping save to keep the score at 1-0. Pepperdine lobbed a shot from 18 yards out that Henninger waited on and timed her leap perfectly to knock the ball over the crossbar. The Waves were unable to capitalize on the ensuing corner kick. Pepperdine had a chance in the 68th minute when Lynn Williams ran down a loose ball and had a half-step lead on Ellie Rice. She took her shot on the ground but it went wide right and the score remained 1-0 in favor of Santa Clara, where the game would end. The Broncos return to the field on Sun., Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. on the campus of Loyola Marymount to take on the Lions.
