Speakin of lessons, have you heard the recording of Jerry giving a Banjo lesson way back when. I guess musta been 65 or so to make 20 for Jerry. So this kid apparantly decided to record his lesson. And Jerrry,.lol, just goes off on this crazy incredible Banjo solo just insane all over the place. After almost 10 minutes Jerry winds it down. The kid then asks: "hey can you write [to sheet/tab] that down?" LOL Jerry's like "no way!" lol.. My memory anyway. Thus endeth the lesson.

Mr darks, I'm 16 and I have been a fan for a considerable amount of time and always watching your videos. One of my favorites is the song you wrote which was a very very very good song. I know people always ask you for requests but i was just wondering if you could please do the wheel or to lay me down? It would be very much appreciated since i would like to surprise my dad with them because the wheel was what got my dad to be a deadhead on account that it was the moment during his first deadshow in which he "got it" and my moment when i got it was the Dead at Saratoga august 1st 2004. During the St Stepehen intro which came out of a shine on you crazy diamond. Oyu have brought inspiration to me in which i just played the easy way with chords but now am starting to solo. MUCH APPRECIATED!

Darks! With 120 vids you have created a treasure for fans to savor for years to come. I write to urge you to keep following your muse and instincts and to not feel burdened by the outpouring of affection and requests. I know you are busy but when things calm down, if you feel the need to gestate or take a break please do it. The Dead, and Jerry in particular, would have lasted even longer if they took more breaks and didn't push so hard. Just something to think about. On the other hand, if you are feeling inspired any time soon, Reuben + Cherise might be a fun one to lay out and jam to.....
