Hmm, I've shopped at Home Depot lots. Didn't hear about this religious intolerance issue until now. I'm not devoutly religious myself but am really getting sick and tired of the atheists succeeding in getting all references to Christian religions removed from public life and schools. Meanwhile, my kids are being forced to learn about Islam at school. If Home Depot is going to fire someone for having God on a button, then they damn well better fire everyone who wears a headscarf too. If you can't tolerate the most common religion in the US, then don't tolerate ANY of them. No more double standard, period!!!!!!!!!!!!!

homedepot, you have my business for life. You have handled the whackos with grace. The rules are simple and believing in Jesus does not make you above the dress code. You have the right to be non-denominational. I am glad to see that you have not attacked nor will you be bullied.
I have always liked your stores, now I see I like your corporation.

Fired for wearing a button "One Nation Under God"? And you wonder why I many times prefer to shop at my local independent hardware store. There was no debate, the message IS NOT offensive. Common sense would dictate that firing the employee was not a smart business decision, nor a morale booster for the employees. As a customer I do not like how this was handled and will take my business elsewhere, you aren't the only big box in town and some of the smaller stores could use my dollars.

Ugh, religion makes me puke. and you people who take such emotional stances on religious rights are worse than the boss who fired the guy for failing to comply to their rules.
Seriously people, Grow up. Religion is a bunch of stories strung together. Non of it is proven, Its literally the simplest way of explaining our world without any form of scientific thinking.

If you want to work at home depot, follow their employee guidelines. simple.
