Barbara Heidenreich has been a professional in the field of animal training since 1990. She is the President of Good Bird Inc (www.GoodBirdInc.com), a company that provides parrot behavior and training products to the companion parrot community. These products include Good Bird Magazine, books, videos, and parrot training workshops. Barbara Heidenreich has been a featured speaker on animal training on six continents and has been published in nine different languages. Barbara Heidenreich is a former president of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators (www.IAATE.org) and served on the Board of Directors from 1997-2009.

Barbara also consults on animal training in zoos, nature centers and other animal related facilities. She has been a part of the development and production of more than 15 different free flight education programs and has worked with over 20 different animal facilities. In her career she has trained animals, trained staff, and/or presented shows at facilities around the world.

I just wanted to say that I really like the way the birds respond not only to your touch but to your voice as well. I really miss my African Grey Timneh. He is in Ohio with an new mom, and I had to leave him behind. I did do something to help parrots in general. I spent a three day working vacation at the Oasis Sanctuary in Benson Arizona. I worked with 700 parrots. And the best thing I got to do, was spend 90 minutes in their aviary for African Greys, and the aviary for the Maccaws. It's funny, the Grey's did not fear me, they did not fly away, they came closer. The Maccaws seemed to look very proud, and sophisticated. I clicked about 35 to 40 pictures with my time and it was truly an honor to be near such beautiful, intelligent and sophisticated birds. I really like your site here and at some point I will be needing your helpful tips as I will get another parrot. Thank you for what you do.

Dear Barbara! I enjoy Your video. I'm owner 2 regent parrots male Slava and female Oska. I learn them many tricks. They like to studdy. But the first and important tricks any parrot must be learnd are to get into box and on scales, give paw to cut claws, to eat from syringe and tea-spoon.
My birds are from wild nature and I get them graun-up. but they are tame now. You can watch our vids. We are from Russia, the Urals.
