The Poem: "Common Core, Uncommon Conformity"
A poem that calls for a generational rethinking of our "system" of education. Nationalized Education and top down educational mandates don't work because teaching and learning cannot be de-personalized. Education is a human system that lives and breathes on innovation, creativity and curiosity. The mechanical system of nationalized education misses the true purpose of eduction: learning. It misdirects money and resources toward "rigorous standards" and standardized tests in order to raise international scores. Education always works best when run closer to home by teachers, parents and local communities. Common Core is a step in the wrong direction.

Liberty Beat Poetry is a style of Spoken Word inspired by

thought observations on culture, politics and the moral and
personal implications behind it all. It is spoken word that is

it is raw, real, exposed, relatable, emotional. It is Free-Song
in that it is critical of politics and culture as well as
Liberty Beat Poetry is a voice for liberty-minded
individuals who have no voice. It is the millennial perspective
on a world run by old men. It is a bold and unapologetic
critique of current events, culture and political leaders. It
defies double-speak, political-correctness, party lines. It is
a unifying voice for an unheard generation.
