Frankly -- you're the hippest. Or as Symphony Sid said, "the gonest..." Any of the Sammy and/or Hank Mancini clips? Love your channel -- david

Thanks for posting these videos. YouTube is the best gift for jazz musicians. Most of the people I never saw or thought I would get a chance to see have appeared in videos from old TV shows.. Most of these videos were unavailable from when I grew up in the 1960's up until now and would have been greatly appreciated. It's too bad they were only seen at jazz in cinema festivals, if at all. Are there more shows from this series available to post? It would be great to see other West Coast people like Hampton Hawes, Sonny Criss and Wardell Gray.

Amazing footage. Of course, as has already been noted, the Dupree Bolton are amazing and so important historically that a release in CD of the audio should be considered I recently met drummer Doug Sides who was on the original Katanga recording. But it's another drummer on the video. Could you post the exact dates of the airings of each program ? Considering the importance of these historical documents, that should be noted. By any chance was there a filming of the Onzy Matthews Big Band on this show ? His band was an LA contemporary of many of these ensembles.

I'll stop there !

Anyways thanks for your hard work and support of jazz Frank Evans seems like a great guy - is he still alive ?
