Favorite movie is Full Metal Jacket by far, shortly followed by Saving Private Ryan, The Thin Red Line, Heat, The Matrix (the first one, the two others are mediocre) and a few other. Don't have any favorite show, though I watch The Wire and The Shield whenever I get the chance.
Music:
Don't have any favorite band, but I'm really into techno, synth, electronic, metal and a bit of pop (depends on what kind).
I like video game music too, especially Duke Nukem 3D, Unreal Tournament, Devil May Cry among other.
Books:
Antony Beevor's Stalingrad is well worth reading, also his other works like Berlin - The
Downfall 1945.
Apart from that I hardly read books, more into comic books/paperback and the like.

I'd like to try Serious Sam, but I know Vista would argue against me every step of the way. I tried those DOSbox and etc programs to try running the old shooter's, but somehow, my version of Vista hates anything to do with joy or entertainment.

Haven't played it myself. The odd thing is, I know about a lot of hidden gems/classic games, but have never played them. Hexen if I remember right was mostly described as Medieval-Magic Doom for the most part.

Good to hear! You are already invited actually. 8 months is a long period, but Blood can be quite challenging even at the easiest difficulty setting. Same for Shadow Warrior. All the build engine games are just everything but easy. But they are classic! Great games!
