Fred Bridges Collinson (1925-2005) was born in Hull and married Dorothy Ward (1925-2002) of Goole in 1950. They lived in Centenary Road, although Fred's work as an engineer also took them for periods to Burnley, Aden, Germany and London. Dorothy was known as Sister Collinson at Goole Bartholomew hospital. Dorothy's father and brother, Jack Ward and Bruce Ward, were known through their association with the clothing firm Foster and Tetley of 4-6 Church Street and later of 66 Aire Street. Fred Collinson must have been one of very few people in Goole in the late 1950s and early 1960s with a cine camera. Amongst many hours of family films are the small number on this YouTube channel that may be of wider interest to people with Goole or Aden connnections.
