Prostock69 There is no such thing as an Ex-Christian. One does not simply give up being a Christian, but more so find by their own admission there was no faith and that Christ was never in them originally. If a person wants to be a Athiest then so be it, but we as Christians must always serve Christ. The Lord commmands us to witness in his name to the remnant he will save in the end. A Christian knows this where a person who never was would know this. These words can be backed up by the same book you claim facts to.

Somehow, members of the Mormon Church have been persuaded by their leaders that they have always been on the receiving end of uncharitable comments and unjust accusations. From the time Joseph Smith began his work in 1820, the Mormon Church has gloried in the "fact" that it is a persecuted people. Mormons ignore their own past (and present) attacks on other religions. Here are just a few tidbits showing how Mormons bash other religions.
1. "I was answered that I must join none of them (Christian churches), for they were all wrongtheir creeds were an abomination in [Gods] sight; that those professors were all corrupt" (Joseph Smith—History 1:19).

2. "Orthodox Christian views of God are pagan rather than Christian" (Mormon Doctrine of Deity, B. H. Roberts [General Authority], 116).
3. "Are Christians ignorant? Yes, as ignorant of the things of God as the brute beast" (Journal of Discourses, John Taylor [3rd Mormon President], 13:225).
4. "The Roman Catholic, Greek, and Protestant church, is the great corrupt, ecclesiastical power, represented by great Babylon" (Orson Pratt, Writings of an Apostle, Orson Pratt, n. 6, 84).

5. "All the priests who adhere to the sectarian [Christian] religions of the day with all their followers, without one exception, receive their portion with the devil and his angels" (The Elders Journal, Joseph Smith, ed. Vol. 1, n. 4, 60).

I'm an ex-Christian. All religions have been proven to be false. Christianity, Mormonism, Judaism, Islam, etc are nothing more than death cults. They all have their ways of sucking people in and keeping them in. FACT: Jesus never claimed to be the son of god. FACT: He preached that the son of god would be coming to earth to establish god's kingdom. It never happened so the writer of the Book of John changed it to that "we" would be going to heaven, not heaven coming to us. It's all nonsense. I think the ex-Mormons have been through enough and I praise them for having the fortitude and courage to seek out the truth and to leave the Mormon church. However, nothing makes me more ANGRY than seeing people come on here proselytizing for Christianity. Enough! Leave these people alone!

I am not an Ex Mormon but I grew up In Seneca County NY not far from where Joseph Smith supposedly had his revelations. Let me tell you as a child with a Unitarian believing mother it was hard for me growing up as my mother took me to the institution there. I want to pass the message to all leaving Mormanism that there is a God and his son is Jesus. Dont despair and dont give up hope. The first step is often the hardest and most painful, but everyone after that gets better. There will be trial, but dont give up on Jesus as he will not give up on you.
